Instruction Sheet M18a1 Antipersonnel Mine
This is a folded 10' x 16' 'oil cloth' type printed sheet of instructions. The printing is on one side only, and shows five steps (with details and illustrations). Step 1 - Where to Position Mine; Step 2 - How to Aim Mine; Step 3 - How to Arm Mine; Step 4 - How to Test Circuit; Step 5 - How to Fire Mine. This sheet DOES NOT tell you how to manufacture a mine. It appears that this sheet was issued with the pre-manufactured mine. The figures in the illustrations appear to be military personnel. No date of printing is indicated but, judging by the devices being used, it may have been printed in the 1950s or 1960s. Ill.: black-&-white illustrations.
